Our Low Clearance Split Frames have the ability to efficiently and safely perform pipe cold cut, bevel and counter bore in environments with limited clearance. Using a lathe machining process, the Low Clearance Split Frame provides high quality finish product with minimum time needed. The portable machines are designed to work on all sizes, different wall thickness and on various materials, including cast, ductile iron, stainless steel and high tensile strength alloys. Eccentric bearing system guiding the two half shells and a robust, self squaring clamping system ensures exceptional stability and performance.
Low Clearing Split Frames are portable, lightweight and easy to use lathe machines – one operator can set up, cold cut and bevel 4” schedule 40 in less than 7 minutes. The machine is composed of two halve shells that are easily mounted and dismounted from pipe even during extremely small clearance and difficult environment. Our machines are operated pneumatically therefore it is also suitable to be operated in a highly explosive environment.
The Low Clearance Split Frames provides the ideal cutting and beveling solution in hazardous or explosive environment. The machines can produce a perfect square, weld ready end prep every time, without creating a heat affected zone which alters the pipe’s metallurgical characteristics.
